Pretty tame compared to other stories, but here goes. I was 15 at the time and walking with my friend in the neighborhood, near a busy road. Suddenly, this random man (50s or 60s) pulled up by us and asked where he could get gas. I got a weird vibe from him, so I lied and said I didn't know. It was odd.

I have 2, both involving guns. A kid at school threatened to bring in a gun. This was in middle school. He never did, but everyone was on high alert for a while. At my elementary school, a kid actually did bring in a gun "on accident". It was a pistol that he said belonged to his dad. Not sure why it was in his backpack, but okay buddy... Both kids ended up suspended.

Either when I took my sister to go float down the Murray river and she got scared, grabbed onto me and started pushing my head under. I managed to grab onto a tree branch about a metre or two from the bank and we both clung on. Then it took a long time to coax her off to get to the bank. My family were all away past the river bend and didn't notice us missing for 20 minutes or so. Or when I had an ovarian cyst and torsion, but I didn't know it and just had this extreme unexplained pain. When it started I thought it was just my period starting but it got worse really quickly. Took about 9 hours for pain meds to help and I had to get surgery the next day.

November 19, 1998, I was talking with a friend online and she told me she was about to move, so if I didn't come see her soon I wouldn't ever get to meet her. She was either joking or goading me, but either way the next day after work, I decided to do it. Packed a backpack and headed from Birmingham, AL to Pittsburgh, PA. That was a 14 hour drive and I started at like 6pm (central), printed out directions from mapquest, and headed out. That's not the scary part, though.

About 3/4 am, I fell asleep at the wheel. Not zoned out, not dissociated, fell right asleep. I woke up after and I have no idea how long I was out - but I pulled over and got out of the car to let the cold wake me up, and checked where I was. Not only was I still on my route, I had -made an interstate change I needed to make-. Scared the living daylights out of me and I refuse to drive more than a few hours at a time now.
