I'm not sure if I can give you specific tips for math. Everyone has a different style of learning. So, my tip would be to figure out how you learn. Are you a visual learner? Auditory, tactile... etc. You can take tests online to help you figure that out. After that, find someone, or research a way to learn math that makes sense to you.
I struggled with math all through school. I thought I was bad at it, but I didn't figure out until I was taking classes for my GED, and my teacher there was able show me in a way that was individualized to me. Turns out, I'm not bad at math. I just wasn't being taught in a way that makes sense to me. My teachers in school weren't bad, but when you have 40 minutes to teach 20 students, I imagine it's difficult to teach everyone in a different way. Not enough resources.
I'm not sure if that helps, or even makes sense. But I think that would lead you down a path that will eventually help you. Good luck!
I stink aswell, here is how I got better.
1. Indian Guys on YouTube (not trying to be racist fr I just use that kind of content a lot)
2. Read it 5 times, say it 10 times
Not every problem, but when going through vocab, new curriculum, etc.
