I was on a ferry to Staten Island, and this poor worker at the place where you get coffee is getting screamed at by this woman (probably in her mid-20s or so) who’s TOTALLY FREAKING OUT because they don’t have a Starbucks-sounding drink (mocha whippa frappa something) and she’s just SCREAMING. Everyone’s staring at her until she finally goes and indignantly sits down. I distanced myself from her after. (Good thing about NYC: Too many people for someone to be able to pick you out.) (Probably.)

    This was next level: I had a client come in to have a routine surgery on her cat. The warning sign was when her EX husband stopped in the day before and gave us $70 and apologized in advance for her... I did the surgery and the woman flat out tried to refuse pain medication!! "He's gone through so much, (a neuter and a rabies vaccination) and that is just one more thing! He can't handle it!" WHAT?! She was screaming at me and I explained again and again that he DID need it and why, but she just kept yelling. In the end, I told her that I had given the pain medication, she had no choice in the matter, and to come get her cat and never come back to our clinic.

    "ULTRAKAREN" haha; I've largely avoided the Karens so mine isn't too dramatic but my MIL exclusively wears "mens" pants because they ,"fit her better" but strongly objects to men wearing literally anything that is advertised to women. The irony of this double-standard is completely lost on her; strong Trump voter too. 🤔
