My family celebrates holidays after 9 or 10 pm. Thanksgiving dinner, Easter and Christmas dinner are finally ready to eat and we notice it’s 11. Mom always forgets to cook ahead and usually takes a 3 or 4 hour nap in the late afternoon. One Christmas morning mom was in one room wrapping the presents while everyone else was in another room waiting for their presents. One year the traditional 4th of July cake wasn’t done til July 5. (I am mom).

Whenever we leave a bar or restaurant with a jukebox, we'll play Country Roads and sing along very loudly with various harmonies (my grandpa is a Beachboys fan, so he can HIGH). We call it the going home song.
