My Friend Gifted Me A Baby Monstera A Few Months Ago And It's So Big Already! I Love How It Looks At My Home
Bonus: my bush dweller cat likes to sit under it and just chill while looking at the great outdoors. P.S. I know they're not good for cats, but this Monstera is growing in my bedroom where cats are allowed with supervision only. Most of my plants grow there.

I've been having good results with the 'marked-down' orchids from our supermarket (they've just finished blooming, or it's after Mother's Day, etc.) The only real cost is a pot, since they're just in their clear plastic inner pots. For growing medium I use Spanish Moss from the Dollar Store (not dyed or treated) - it lets the roots breathe.

The "dumb" in "dumb cane" comes from the toxic sap, which numbs the mouth and tongue of any mammal which tries to eat the plant. Hence, rendering the animal "dumb", which originally meant "unable to speak".
