Thank you. This is watercolor painted on yupo. It reacts much differently from normal watercolor paper because the paint doesn't soak in. It has to dry on the surface.

I like how the water isn't overdone with too many waves etc. It's hard to portray movement in paintings sometimes, but I really see the talent in not overdoing the details here.

Thanks 😊 Yes I started over a few times when it would blend in a muddy way. Had to upgrade quality of watercolourpaper also so less water moved around on surface but still had saturation so colour could move.

I’m proud of this piece because I was so intimidated to take it on. I started taking watercolor classes before the pandemic began. This was the piece we were supposed to work on next, but the classes were canceled. I started but got discouraged so it sat unfinished for almost a year. I’m so grateful that I finally worked up the courage to finish it. Seeing it done was a major release - had no idea how much I’d been holding.
