He’s a former soldier in a civil war, and now a policeman. He’s tall, thin, smokes cigarettes, and uses a sword in a deadly and precise manner. His overarching goal is revenge, and he’ll uphold the law as long as it’s consistent with that goal. He’s ice cold, and possibly the only person who can push the hero (a former rival from the civil war) to the point where he will violate the oath he made.

Flat Stanley! (did I spell that right???) I only know this because in first grade we had to read the book and afterwards our teacher made a laminated cutout of herself and called it the “Flat Stewie” (her last name) and every week a different kid took it home. My sister and I, who had a bit of a dark sense of humor, enjoyed utterly torturing it all week. Then it got married to a freebie plushie of Buster Posey’s head that we got at a baseball game. Weirdest week of my life.
