Apparently when I was around 5 or 6, I was getting on my mom's nerves so she sent me across the street to meet my neighbor who was a year older and named Kristen. (Back then parents could do that with their kids.) I still remember her older brother answering the door and I asked if "Kristen could come outside and play?' I continued to ask that same way each time he answered the door, up until our teens and 20's. We are 46 and 47 now, live in different cities, but have remained BFFs all this time.

I met my two best friends in the same place but at different times. I met them both at a school for the blind. Before then, I was kinda a loner and preferred to stay in my room and not be around people. Now we are almost inseparable! Sometimes other people get mixed up and think we're twins or siblings (depends if all of us are together or just two of us) because we hang out with each other constantly! We sometimes like to cause minor trouble (mostly jaywalking) just because we can.

I was introduced by my other best friend. They had known each other for a while. Apparently, my best friends (at the time) had talked about the one I was introduced to to me all the time, but had never talked about me to them. I don’t talk to her anymore .

I met my best friend at high school on (I think) the first day. Only two other girls from my primary school went to my high school, so we hung around together at recess, even though I wasn't really friends with them. When we went out for recess we met three other girls and became friends with them and hung around together until the year 7 camp a couple of weeks later where we shared a cabin. There was a big bust up and we sort of split in two, with me siding with two of the new friends. I'm glad we did, because we were pretty inseparable for the next four and a half years, until another fight between members of our now larger friend group. I stayed bestfriends with one of them, and she is still my best friend now we are in our 30s.
