I did. She was my only friend for three years in elementary school, and being the socially awkward kid I was, I struggled to make friends after that until 6th grade.

I know my answer is in the desc, but that’s just a summary.

I was in third grade when we became best friends. We both had a lot in common and we were doing great until fifth grade. Our teacher was doing tryouts for odyssey of the mind and we both signed up. Long story short, she got in and I didn’t. She started staying in during recess and I wasn’t mad at her for that bc she was working on stuff. Fast forward 4 months later. They go to the competition and get first place. My friend gets a break before she has to go back to working. When she comes to recess she plays with other kids, and when I tried to talk to her or join in she just walked away and ignored me. After a while I just let it go and moved on. She never spoke to me after that.

Friends don’t last forever, no matter how attached you are to them.

They ghosted me because I was suicidal and had depression along with COVID last year. I found out that they were trash talking about me during that time. That nearly gave me the courage to end myself. Thankfully I didn’t and now I’m doing much better with actual friends who care

All of my friends in elementary school did. I didn't have any real friends from school until 6th grade. I still have trust issues and worry my current friends, who are wonderful people, will ghost me too.

Not me, but my husband in 2018. Our water heater broke on New Year’s Eve so my husband found a guy who would work for cash on the following day (New year’s Day.) Same guy put in our new HVAC the following summer and did a great job. He and husband developed a good solid friendship over time so he asked to borrow $100. Not a problem with either of us so husband arranged to give him the money in exchange for new air conditioning filters. Husband texted him after a few weeks because we needed a new filter. Not even stressing him about the money (never, ever once did we ask him ) but dude ghosted husband completely. Just found out last week dude moved out of state. So much for his “Christian family values.”

I used to ride to junior school with my neighbour and we be friends during the school day from year 1 to year 6. In year 2 she met a new friend and stop talking to me at all during to school. She would walk away if I tried to talk to her. We still ride to and from school but we didn't talk at all.
