My husband has a tendency to move slower on the weekends, and knowing we had alot of errands to get done, I went into the store looking for him, annoyed.
I found him, reading ingredients to an elderly man and helping him calculate ratios for what he needed, because he couldn’t do it himself anymore. And listening to him tell stories of his acres of land nearby.
I forgot about errands, our time crunch, our tasks…and thought man, if we could all just take a little time to help eachother with just the littlest things, how good we would all feel. And remembered that I snagged a good one
My husband noticed that no one was eating the oranges. I said that I think I subconsciously avoid them because I have eczema on my hands and peeling them hurts the little cuts. The next day this was in the fridge. He proceeded to peel 6 oranges for me every Sunday to last the week, and has continued to do so (when I want oranges). I never asked him to. I don’t need anything fancy. To me this is love.
Butterflies can’t see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.
"I was waiting for my prescription at Walgreen, and I noticed this man is picking up his medicines.. He is asking how much they are, and starting to get nervous about the price. The total was $170 and the pharmacist asked if he would rather only get one month of his medicines instead of 3. “THIS lady next to me, walks up to them and says: NO, he is getting all three months and pays for his bill. I was walking out of there with tears in my eyes, what an amazing woman…”
I noticed quite a few people enjoyed my post about my dog Tuesday so I thought I’d let you know why I chose the name Tuesday. I’ve had pretty amazing luck with dogs. My first dog’s name was Charlie. I never had to teach Charlie anything. He always had this ability from the first day I got him to understand me. He dedicated his life to being my best friend and protector. I have cerebral palsy so I use a manual wheelchair. Several years ago I had severe health issues and spent a long time in the hospital. Around that same time, and perhaps feeling my struggle Charlie got sick. I have a wonderful vet and we did everything we could but Charlie passed away due to kidney failure. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through. I wear a necklace everyday in honor of Charlie. I didn’t know if I’d ever get another dog but i eventually decided to do it. I didn’t want to name him Charlie or Charlie Jr because to me there will always be one Charlie. So I settled on the name Tuesday because Charlie was born on a Tuesday and I like to think he would be okay with that name. I hope this isn’t to upsetting for this group but I thought I’d share a picture of Charlie and I a couple years ago. Hope this story is one everyone can connect to and thanks for reading if you have time.
A father on facebook has moved the networks after writing on his account:
"The hardest thing about being a single dad, is going to the restaurant with my beautiful daughter, and she tells me she wants to go to the bathroom and I go with her to the bathroom and people stare at me strangely, she is my daughter and I have to do it because I will always take care of her, I will not send her alone. How hard it is to leave her every time I go to work far away and she stays crying screaming at me, she makes video calls and tells me where I am to go with her. I love my daughter and everything I do I do so that she has a good future and does not lack what I lacked at her age. I love this little girl, may God bless her a thousand years and lives more."
Not all men are the same, some know how to love, respect and even be fathers alone.
my cats do this to me. they lay as far away as possible but within reach so they can put a paw on my toe, foot, hand, head, ect. it's how they say they love me but don't want to be pet right then.
I do that! But then I forget to empty them so I end up with so much trash in my pockets!!
I am handsome
As promised, day one of action shots of Tina.
This reminds me of a post I saw on BP some time ago. A person posted that their parents were on holiday and their father met an alpaca for the first time. He seemed to be absolutely awestruck at how soft it's wool was and how sweet it seemed
I watched the short behind her casting choice, and how she loved Ms Marvel because a brown girl was on the cover. As a black girl, this is the representation I want to see for all POCs!!
My dad opened his own engineering firm when I was maybe 6 or 7. My dream was to be a professional painter so when he bought an office building he gave me a cubicle wall to paint whatever I wanted on. It was right behind the receptionist's desk where it would be one of the first things any clients would see when they came in.
I took this photo shortly before he decided to retire and sell the building after 25ish years. I eventually lost interest in painting, and we didn't get along very well during my pain in the ass teenage years. This huge, not particularly good painting was always a strong reminder that my dad is probably the coolest, most supportive dad I could ever ask for.
That's a great painting! I'm pretty sure that I could never do anything that good even though I'm older...
To Mr. J, Thank you for being an awesome teacher and for being amazing! This school year was so fun and I enjoyed it because of you. I wish more teachers was like you. I will never forget you. I look at you like my Dad. I never met my real Dad but it’s ok because you treat me like I’m your son. You make me so happy. Always feeding me when I am hungry and hug me when I am sad. I will never forget you Mr. J. I love you and I will never forget about you. Love, Markus

my little sister is sick and me and my older sister just got these texts from our brother in law.
She said yes
Cuteness overload 😍😍😍 Just a little worried about how this works though?
Haha, my dog hates going to the toilet if it's raining or the grass is wet. He will hold it until it's dried up or he's desperate, whichever comes first.

Romulus and Remus (joke from my middle school days of the chorus sacred grollia and it’s acolytes)
Surprising Berserk reference here! May Guts find his peace too as his creator did before him
YES!! This thread was most definitely worth looking at .There's enough bad stuff going on -- we all need something positive to consider. Thank you.
