Have you lived through a period of extreme physical pain? What's the best one thing that helped you the most in getting through it?

When my father set me on fire
he poured hand sanitizer on my back then set it on fire
and it burnt for a little long time
it was excruciating
much more painful than you imagine if you haven't been set on fire
and since he had pulled up my sweater it pulled back down and melted onto my skin and somewhat fused with it
it was very very painful this time

"best one thing that helped you the most in getting through it?" asks?

I think I tried not no touch it afterwards., it would have made it worse?

I still hid it under my clothes but I wore loose clothes

now I have the big scar all over my bacl and side of my ribs a little
but it doesn't hurt unless I lie back against something like a wall a couch or a chair

Triple fracture of my spine; couldn’t walk for almost a year; CBD and acupuncture helped, when painkillers started to give me stomach ulsters

Monthly. (Except sometimes there are irregularities) what helps me get through it is curling up into a ball and either reading a very good and distracting book or going on BP or YouTube to get my mind off it. Eggs help too, and so do bananas. Not sure why.

I wonder what's in bananas and eggs, which help to relax... maybe potassium? I will try that next time!
