I Take Pictures Of Hands That Tell Different Stories (34 Pics)
In 2011, back when I was 13 years old, I fell in love with telling stories through photography. Since I've always been an introvert, finding inspiration and getting lost in my own imagination always felt natural. During the first years of my photography journey, I experimented a lot, I frequently shifted genres trying to find my own artistic voice.
As time went by and as I started to mature, I started to seek inspiration within me. The way I'm connected to certain concepts, other people and the life that I'm living became an endless source of inspiration. During that period of becoming more authentic as an artist, I become aware that my images were always more about concepts and ideas rather than the subjects and their identities. That was a turning point that resulted in my images becoming more minimalistic.
I started to change my approach, I started filling empty spaces with elements that could tell a story. But something was missing, I needed to communicate what I have to say through people. Not wanting to show their identities led me to an idea to photograph hands. Yes, there is so much more hands are able to tell us than one could assume. So many emotions and so many states of being.
My hands' phase is still ongoing, but I wanted to look back on some of the images I created and share them with you. I hope you enjoy the gallery!

"Vacuum"
The atmospheric image tells the story of all the feelings of loneliness and anxiety we sometimes suffer.
This is a hand of someone who decided to end there depression by suicide........its sad because it happens a lot.....
"Farawell"
Photographing hands is often like meditation to me. It's a way of releasing my emotions and moving forward at peace with what I leave behind.
This is beautiful but makes me sad thinking of things I have lost at no one's fault but my own
"Greedy Hands"
The photograph represents the greediness of human nature.
"Valtari"
Image of my friend's hand during a warm spring rain. On that day photography was our only way to reconnect with nature.
"Talk" about "eyegasims!" Your "Valtari" is my "Garden of Eden." I get the "roller" part. But, where's the "steam?"
Wow thanks! It's nice to hear that! Thanks for your support.

A lot of my hand images are self-portraits. This is an image that means a lot to me, it gives me hope every time I come back to it.
Did you hurt your hand? It’s a lovely photo but it looks like hot wax being sprayed out?
No I haven't, it isn't as painful as it looks. 😅
Load More Replies...It makes me feel like holding on to hope. The fire being hurt and pain. You know it's coming but because the wax is melting, slowly burning. Yet we hold on feeling that burn and no matter how painful it is. We hold on to hope. Hope metaphorically being the candle.
"Power Play"
One of the images that are part of my ongoing series called "Human Behaviour". It portrays relationships between humans.
"Until We Bleed"
A rose is symbolizing a love that is dying, the one that should be left behind.
Creating this image was my way to say goodbye to lovers.
it's so poignant and powerful image, really photography talent beyond the lens to the soul.
Or, "hear" me out... the cover of the next Vampire Trilogy? Huh? Huh? How 'bout that?! ✿(◕ ‿⌒)✿
"The Climb"
Self-portrait from my backyard.
This one is very emotional. Reminds me of trying to make it through my first days of recovery as an addict. Everything just seemed so far out of reach...mentally, physically, and emotionally.
It indeed is. I hope you have won the battle against addiction and that you are happier now. ❤️
Load More Replies...It looks like I was a little hasty with the "Night of The Living Dead (hand)" because here it is!!! -Lol?
"Unknown Destination"
I was starring at the tractor in our backyard for days before an idea came to my mind. What if I showed other people that we can use objects around us in a unique way to create art. It was my way of telling people that imagination in photography is crucial.
My favourite! I love the way you have thought so deeply about what hands can tell us!
It could be a train, or a car, or a spaceship. Amazing where the mind can go. It's like a writing prompt
"Undelivered Message"
"Through Thick And Thin"
The photograph deals with togetherness.
The past few years keep showing us how we need to stick together, no matter what.
This picture makes me think of all the wars happened this year and all the lives and loves lost in them. All the people who had to flee from their lands and homes and find refuge in a foreign land, with doubts of getting accepted in the new society, of earning for a living, of finding a safe place. One picture can tell a thousand words.
This photo makes me think of a couple who have been through their own war.
"Affection"
An image from the "Saeglopur" series I've done for Facet.ai, Each image from the series was inspired by the feelings associated with love.
The use of water makes the mood. In some traditions, water represents emotions, and this is all about emotion.
"A Bomb"
Photographing hands can sometimes become a safe zone for photographers, that's why I always try to mix things up a bit. Like in this image when I introduced more color to my images.
the hand of god, creating beauty for the first time in an explosion of colour from the heavens above
"Inseparable"
"The Courage Of Other"
My first photograph of hands was taken in 2014 that started the whole era.
A picture that says a thousand words. Love the roses, it really is as described

My brother helped me out to portray the moment when everything's falling apart but yet you are eager to fix what needs to be fixed.
"Touch"
Photograph from the "Saeglopur" series.
Your photography is stunning. Such an eye in detail. You need to do a series for what we have endured through this Pandemic. Lost of life, food shortages, loneliness, lock down etc. Continue to be your true self & let it bleed throughout your photos.
Thanks a lot Cindy! I may not do the series but I wil surely have all the mentioned in my mind when creating new images in the future.

"New Beginning"
I was so not ready to get attacked by so many emotions within a time span of 10 mins that took me to go through all those photos. Sir you got my respect 100 on 100!
These have so much emotion in them. Keep up the incredible work
These photos are just beautiful. They require time to fully appreciate. The composition is perfect, and the colors and tones set the mood for each scene. Hands are so expressive and so human, but because we don't see the faces, they are relatable to all of us. I can see myself in them, or see others I know. Some are fears, some are memories, some are hopes. Thank you for sharing your work with us. The depth of feeling you put into your art is clear to see.
I kinda got sad and relaxed looking at these. I do have one question though,do you use filters on your images?
It describes what has happened, happening and What is actually going to happen.
I CANNOT WAIT to see what you come up with next! Maybe to inspire you, here are a few ideas? Ready? (Hope, community, togetherness, welcoming?) ≧◠‿◠≦
I am holding back tears, each image evokes feeling from the soul. The depiction you give for each hand is subtle and powerfully understood. I even found some meanings of my own understanding them. Please continue this, I look forward to view more, I think there's a lot introspection can be had. Much love ♡
