The "lashes" are still on the inside - that's what the trap of a newly emerged leaf looks like. Give it another day or two and the trap will have finished developing, with the "lashes" pointing outwards and the trap wide open. Fun fact: Venus fly-traps are actually more likely to catch grasshoppers and spiders, and other arthropods that crawl more than they fly.

Actually the plaster is positioned exactly where the injection SHOULD have gone...that injection has been given about a centimetre too high (and as someone who's given a lot of injections, it's easy not to see where you've just given it if it doesn't bleed a little bit!)
