Guy Wakes Up From A Nap To A Stray Kitten Sleeping On His Stomach, Decides To Keep It
It’s not how we meet someone, it’s who we meet. And in the case of one guy from Canberra, Australia, he made a pal he didn’t even know he needed. According to Ali Safa, he never really had pets and he’s a bit of a loner so he didn’t have many friends, too. But this one fell straight into his lap.

When Ali Safa casually went outside to enjoy the day, he wasn’t expecting anything much. “I was just checking my phone, nothing much really,” he told Bored Panda. And before he knew it, he fell asleep.

When he woke up from his nap, he wasn’t alone. “At first, I thought it was a rat,” Ali recalled. “But by the time I realized she was a kitten, I didn’t care about whether she has fleas or not, because if she did I probably already got it, so whatever.”

He whipped out his phone and took a couple of pictures. After uploading them to reddit, people immediately started asking questions about how the kitty was doing and if there were any new developments.

So Ali wrote a few updates to inform them.
“She is the most fun cat I ever played with, and the most stubborn/attention-seeker as well. I legit don’t get to do one thing in the house without her roaming around me, and I’ve given up on training her to sleep in her little bed I bought and now we share our bed, and her little bed is just collecting dust in the corner of my room.” Ali has already named her – Angel.

I'd have been thrilled to have been chosen like that! Beautiful and clever kitten - she chose very well. Happy, happy life to you both.
Just go to your local shelter...select a cat..boom..you have been chosen.
Thats what we did with our cat - we went to the shelter looking to adopt a 3 legged cat which had been advertised as needing a home. The cat didnt like us - however this gorgeous fluffy beige boy just ran over, jumped on my husband's lap and began purring. We took him home there and then.
I have rescue dogs otherwise I would do. I love the idea of my dogs not minding a little cat joining us but it's not very likely with this pair unfortunately.
You have to ignore the thought of fleas on animals - animal fleas only live on animals, not humans. You may get the odd bite - but treat the animal and you are fine. My cat used to get fleas occasionally - odd bite on the ankles. In younger years I used to catch and bring wildlife home - a bit like our cat - lol. Baby rabbits I caught by hand, a hare once (they are huge) a little fox once. hedgehogs and shrews. Occasionally baby lambs to play with in the garden - they were heavy.. My dad made me take them back. I was 10
I would have been heartbroken - as I am not allowed pets in my lease. But would so have wanted to keep her. However I would have ensured she went to the local vet asap - then on to the local cat shelter - or vice-versa. But would have given her many cuddles first. Am the same - Sod the fleas - this kitten needs cuddles and care. Would rather havecat fleas (which can be easily exterminated). I absolutely would have taken it in for a day or 2 whilst trying to find the best place for her to be taken care of.
I must admit that I do worry about having to live somewhere I couldn't have a pet - and who knows what the future will bring? Two of my rescue dogs came with fleas, fortunately they weren't that difficult to get under control but not before sharing them with the other dog already in residence!
Had 2 dogs for 6 years - short haired - they never once got fleas. My previous fluffy champagne coloured tom cat was a wanderer - he came back with fleas a couple of times. We put that stuff on the back of his neck - seemed to work. Although we got the odd ankle flea bite. But animal fleas cannot live on humans. Steamed the carpet. As I grew up in the countryside I dont really have an issue with insects - other than earwigs - and maybe woodlice.

Honestly cuddling with a cat is identical to cuddling with a gallon size ziploc full of hamster bones
I love how chill this guy is. "Oh, there's a kitten sleeping on my lap. I guess I have a cat now." Angel is adorable and clearly picked the perfect human.
What a beautiful little kitten. She was clearly looking for a friend and he looked like he needed one. I bet she'll be a beautiful cat one day and he will have a friend for life now.
Sad to think of a stray kitten - not long weaned - fending for itself in the wild - no wonder it saw a human and thought "saviour"
I know, makes me so sad to think of others out there.
Oh come on, animals that are untamed might actually enjoy freedom! It's really not so sad, a cat born wild is a wild beast and totally capable of hunting/survival. Humans are a real danger to animals, hardly "saviours" ...
