Septicflesh were formed in Athens in March 1990 by Sotiris Vayenas (guitar), Spiros Antoniou (bass and vocals), and Christos Antoniou (guitars). They released a debut EP, Temple of the Lost Race in December with Black Power Records, 1991.

The group split up in October 2003, and after the breakup, its members moved on to different or existing projects.

On February 19th 2007, Septic Flesh announced a reunion for Greece’s Metal Healing Festival.

On April 3rd 2007, the band reunited for a seventh full-length CD, for French record label Season of Mist.

Fast forward to 2022 and Septicflesh have continued to offer Metal music fans all the world exceptional multi layered Death Metal Music, that crosses into multiple genres.

Modern Primitive is the 11th release from Septicflesh. This album delivers both the expected and unexpected in equal measures. The overall tone of the album is just as mysterious and grandiose as we’ve learned to expect from the band.

The deep growl and expressive pronunciation of Spiros Antoniouare one of a kind, and even his rhythmic vocal mannerisms and lyrical structures keep the listener enthralled.

Plenty of attack and power on the drumming front, from Krimh, making sure the adrenaline levels are kept high all the way through. He keeps an old school Death Metal vibe in his sound, which is treasured.

The band has been doing extensive European touring, coming to the last legs of the tour November 2022.
