Gods Alive Project: Anubis

Late 2012, my mother passed and I nearly gave up my love of photography. After soul searching and being inspired by some amazing photographers, I decided to start a major project. One to network with amazing artists and designers, as well as bring the Gods of Pantheons I worship and respect to life.
In 2014 our first God was photographed. She was a hit and received a lot of praise. And it spurred me and the team I was building forward to continue. And we did. After a lot of hard work for the wardrobe to be complete to finding the perfect model. We managed to bring Anubis to life.

Egyptian God of the Afterlife, Mummification and Funerals
Anubis is often depicted as part man with the head of a jackal or other canine head. Yet, it was his role as the God Who Guarded the Afterlife. From ushering souls into the next land, his weighing of the souls heart and even the one to oversee the mummification of everyone from royalty to the average man and woman.
For a god with almost no true mythology behind him, he is one of the most recognized Gods of Egypt. From his form, to how priests dressed as he during the mummification process. He was the one all came before in the end.
