First off, I would give back to him as good—-and since I can have an acid tongue, even better—-than he gave me. Second, I would dump him on the spot, loudly and humiliatingly for him. Then I’d call a cab, if I didn’t drive, and happily go home. I probably wouldn’t have anything at his place, because behavior like his doesn’t happen in a vacuum. He would probably have been building up to it, so I would’ve already cleared my stuff from his place before this.

While talking he would stop me from joining in and always say just let me finish. But it never came back to me or allowed me to actually speak. It was so performative there was no interest in any connection or anything I had to say or contribute. Ewww!

I think there needs to be more context for me to judge this. I used to live in the southern US, and heard many a grown man and woman refer to their parents as, “Mama and Daddy”, and no one thought anything of it. Now, these folks behaved, in every other way, completely like mature adults. It was just what they referred to their parents by that was different, and was accepted by everyone in that region—-because they all did it too.

Nearly all of these were bizarre complaints about trivial things or even normal things that men did. At least it does show that not only some men make petty complaints about women
