Get Married In This City And You Receive As A Gift A Love Poems Book With Your Picture On It

For more than 2 years now I promote reading through the Bookface (Cărțile pe față) campaign.
In my attempt to bring people closer to books I saw that it was possible to print books with the reader’s photo on the cover. People react extremely good when they receive such a book.
After a while a pattern emerged regarding the picture that the people were sending me for one of the books, the one dedicated to couples. Most of the pictures were with brides and grooms.
So this is how I came up with this idea that every couple who gets married in my home city Cluj-Napoca, Romania, should get for free a personalized copy of my love poems book (tRain în doi – Living/Heaven in two).
I managed to pull this off with the help of a sponsor: Gobilier, a new and funky furniture and accessories showroom. The newlyweds just have to send an e-mail with a scanned copy of their marriage license and the picture that they want on the cover of the book. Afterwards, in just a few days, they can come to Gobilier showroom and receive their wedding-book gift.
I’m a big fan of the idea of offering books as a gift. I read at least an hour a day and I borrow most of the books that I read, usually from friends or from the library. In the same time I buy a lot of books to offer as gifts. I’m glad that we can give a personalized book to every couple who gets married in Cluj-Napoca. For now we are testing it for three months and want to extend it if it proves to be a success.
