When the Belgian illustrator Prudence Geerts launched Planet Prudence on Instagram in 2016, she simply wanted a place to document her thoughts and experiences, a visual diary where she could process everything from self-doubt and anxiety to the awkward realities of adulthood. What began as a deeply personal project quickly resonated with hundreds of thousands of readers who saw their own insecurities, frustrations, and everyday triumphs reflected in her honest illustrations.

Over the years Geerts has used her platform to explore topics including body image, mental health, trauma, relationships, feminism, and self-worth, always balancing vulnerability with humor. She has often said that her goal isn't to present a perfect version of life, but to remind people they're not alone in what they're feeling. That philosophy has earned her a devoted global community, one built not only on laughter but also on empathy, openness, and the reassuring idea that our imperfections are often the very things that connect us.

Below, we've gathered some of her latest comics that find humor, honesty, and comfort in the beautifully messy experience of being a woman.

Yeah, this isn't specific to women either, not unless I've been a woman all my life - which I'm pretty sure I haven't been.🕺 🤣

This is a very old joke, done by Benny Hill and the Carry On team. Doctor: "I've got very good news for you Mrs Smith". "Actually, it's MISS Smith." "Then I've got very bad news for you." Back when having a baby out of wedlock was a heinous crime.

I feel like it should be more obvious to people that the woman in this comic is annoyed that she has to take a walk for her mental health and that is why she is frowning. I understood that it was her mouth right away.

Another issue with advertisers not showing what the design looks like on different body types. But low-rise jeans/trousers are a particularly grim example, because they are flattering on an *extremely* tiny subset of bodies; even many slender-overall bodies can look sausage-like in them.

I struggle with this a lot. But then I look at all the mental and physical and family and financial struggles I have/had and remember to just be grateful I'm alive. I'm not a failure, I just need more time. I'll get there. And that goes for anyone else, too
