There are advantages to being short and advantages to being tall. BBC Future writes that taller human beings, when running for political office, tend to get more votes; they also tend to earn more money.
Being tall can be a real boon in sports because long legs help you run faster and farther than your opponents. However, being small has its bonuses as well: nerve impulses travel from limbs to brains faster, which means reaction times are faster and the individual in question is more nimble. That can be a huge plus for martial artists just like Jackie Chan. Furthermore, shorter and smaller people are better at snowboarding, gymnastics, skating, diving, and skiing than their taller counterparts.

Being a 6-foot tall guy myself, I often find that I’m rarely (if ever) the tallest or shortest around. I’m pretty much average. And, unfortunately, nobody asks me if I’m a professional basketball player or Samwise Gamgee, so sometimes I’m a bit jealous of the attention others get. As an American I agree. We need to kill off the imperial system. Medicine already comes in metric measurements so it's not like it's not already in our society. I remember learning it in grade school. It makes Sooo much more sense than our imperial system.
Metric system is used a great deal now in U.K. ! Trouble is, I was brought up on imperial ( I’m 74 ) which I still prefer ! Though I admit metric is much more accurate. I am trying to use metric in wood working but it can be very confusing !

I remember standing in line in a train station bathroom in Tokyo, looked in the mirror and noticed I was at least a head taller than all of the women there and I’m only 172cm (5’8)

My husband and my eldest son are both very tall. I feel extremely short when I stand in the middle. I am 1.70m. They are 30cm taller then me and my son is still growing. I always tease him by saying that we work and pray to get to heaven one day. He just grows there. My youngest son is 13 years old, and just 2cm shorter then me. So guess who's gonna be the short shit in the house...
Look at the positive: at lest you don't need a ladder too often around the house
Negative point is, prone to lightning
I'm only 1.6 meters (assuming I did the math right - 5'3"), my husband is 1.98 meters (6'6"), and our oldest son is 2.007 meters (6'7"). Anytime I want to "hide" something, I just put it on the bottom shelf - they never even register it as existing!
Oh my days you're not even short Loooool I'm you're height and feel the same way near my husband's family they're all really tall even his grandad is way taller than me, I'd say he's around 2m tall.
