As we are (hopefully) approaching the end of the pandemic, spring is in full bloom and the mood is more optimistic. While my sourdough baking days are over, I am still "baking" a new drawing each day. Since the start of the pandemic, drawing has been a great way to deal with stress. As a silver lining, I've rediscovered drawing again. After a long day of endless zoom meetings, it's refreshing to work on a small creative project.
I get inspired by literally anything: a toilet paper roll, talking to friends and family, online shopping, scrolling Facebook, or when reading the news. My original series was "before and after" focused on how our lives have changed during the pandemic, but since then, I've explored a few additional concepts. One new theme I've been excited about is inanimate objects that can talk to each other, for example, what if a face mask could complain to a toilet paper roll about its job? Or what would a chair say to a butt? I found that these objects are perfect metaphors for daily life (or maybe I am losing it from being in the lockdown for too long.) I also like drawing silly charts and puns.
I hope you enjoy this freshly baked batch of drawings! Previous posts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, and Part 6.

Working
No kids, no tv, no S.O. And the cat is a nice coworker ^^ I'm definitely more efficient from home
Load More Replies...At my house it's 50% working and 50% opening the door for the dogs (every 30 minutes).
Bet I'll reply to a text at the office too. Then walk away call my partner; talk about the text. Come back, maybe even chat with my work partner about the text and before jumping into a meeting that could have been an email or slack msg. 20-30 mins gone when I could have responded to the text; yell out, "blah just texted me blah blah". hear a response and move on. 5 mins tops. But honestly there are tvs in my office that were on to help "stress relieve", they are off at home. There were co-workers bringing in their children, family, friends for a tour (we had a awesome, cool office). Its just me and my also wfh SO. I may stop and take more mini breaks throughout the day to take care of my pets needs or even my own, but I can get to my desk earlier to start the day or stay later to catch up without have to worry about traffic or other outliers. Remote work can be lonely but more productive for the right ppl. But so ppl work best in an office environment. I just home more places allow flexiblity after all this
This picture is very true. Yes during this pandemic, life affected very much, everything changed and its still affecting and changing our living, working, eating, sleeping, thinking, shopping, almost everything got changed. Working from home is most difficult thing, early on its looks comfortable, but after some time very difficult, without discipline and working environment working from home is not easy. Shopping is also changed during this pandemic, online Shopping seems to be the future shopping. As no one wants to come out . So small retails will die due to this covid19. Everything from smaller to larger products are being sold through ecommerce.

Daydreaming
This is funny, but I think I am in the minority....I do NOT want to go back to the office...like EVER! LOL
That only happens to extroverts. Introverts like this work from home.
As an introvert, I'm going to say hell no. For one thing, I don't want everybody to know what my home looks like. for another, I get drained by useless interactions, right? zoom is the worst of the worst, in that respect. Further, why should I cover the facilities and utilities costs from working for home? I guarantee you, employers aren't going to be providing for that. Speaking of dedicated spaces, I like having that physical space, to be able to focus on work. My desk at home has a ton of hobby-projects on it, as well as two 3d printers (and three more on the shelf behind it. yeah. I'm an addict. that's why I started my side-gig company.)

Social Distanced Office
but, 'did you get my email' emails are tacky. especially when it's inevitable that there's going to be at least an 'did you get my email, about getting my email' email. possibly down through 'my email about getting my email, about getting the email about the email, I sent about the email you obviously didn't get? about the email?' email.

could you possibly be more clueless? texas and florida, where there was supposed to be a "huge surge" in deaths etc. are both doing markedly better than places which have had insane lockdowns the entire time, like new york, new jersey, michigan. look it up.

My Job Sucks
The toilet papers job still sucks more. Other than getting mouth mist, the toilet paper deals with some real poop.
The toilet paper’s job is worse. It gets shoved up peoples asses, so.. yeah I’d hate to be toilet paper.
Wasted Years
This is no joke, but when you have depression you have lots of wasted years unfortunately

My Life
The first picture looks like my earplugs in my pocket for one minute. Nice comic
My life has not changed. I live inside and avoid people no matter what is happening in the world.
We all have said, "I just need this merry-go-round to stop and let me off for awhile!" We got our wish granted! I kind of enjoyed it. Now, I'm ready to jump back on.
Returning To Normal
Needed to apply makeup recently. First of all I couldn't even find it; then I'd forgotten how to put it on.
I hope the new normal isn't the same as the old normal. Look where that got us.

Introverts
No introvert would say this. My life actually not changed a lot since the pandemic.
Yeah I've loved being away from people! but there are apparently different levels of introverts. Like some don't like socializing period, while others just recharge from being alone but they do like to socialize sometimes.
Load More Replies...I’m a introvert and I don’t hate people I just don’t like being social or out of the house
Nope. My life is exactly the same as pre-pandemic, except it is actually easier to avoid people now! More places deliver - everything - and it's a lot easier (and acceptable) to be a hermit. Win/win for me.
Ha no it's more like: Before Covid= I hate people After Covid= I hate people more because I've realized how utterly stupid half the population is.
Nope, despite all of the death and disease, I've actually loved the pandemic XD
Nope. Obviously you have no idea what an introvert is made of! The "during covid" is rather: "what a wonderful life! I love it!" =)
Me too! Seeing how humanity dealt with the pandemic (eg novaxxers, negationists, etc) had me lose any remaining faith in people

Vacation
I hated vacations growing up. My dad was a very tense man and vacations just shortened his fuse. Every vacation was essentially walking on eggshells not to piss dad off and then listening to him complain and yell at hotel/travel/restaurant staff or bark at us for not enjoying ourselves properly. The week following vacation was us getting berated for being ungrateful and not enjoying the vacation he paid for to his satisfaction. We couldn't win no matter what we did.
That's my family. We have the craziest luck when it comes to vacations. First, something bad happens and then we get incredibly lucky. ALWAYS. Don't remember a trip that this didn't happen.
I wonder if people will travel as much after the pandemic has finished. It might be one of those things that leads to a permanent change in behavior. Business travel would have to be a lot less; Zoom is so much more cost effective.
Good thing I enjoy driving! I don't worry one bit on vacation. It helps to visit wineries in the mountains.
Pandemic Spring
Pandemic Life
Yes indeed .we must be very careful don't get people not wearing masks it's illogical
Vaccine Passport
Aaaah yes, when we grow up we'll be helping our grandkids with their covid asignment
Yes. Those of us who have been doing the right thing, and therefore the heavy lifting, this whole time, and have now taken the vaccine, should be able to reap the rewards. If you want in, you can STILL jump the line and take the vaccine and get back to life. If not, it's your right to sit outside in the goddamn parking lot. Buh bye.
There have always been certain shots required to travel out of the country. How is the Covid vaccine different? Not to mention enrolling in school, joining the military.
yes and then trump got covid the day after mocking biden for yes and before the debate of screaming at each other trying to keep up their old ass self esteem said hey dude how you doin today yes and then a fly was pence's head for 40 minutes how long ? forty minutes spelled f o r t y remember that and then they sold millions of fly swatters in hours that low wow the 20s were crazy i mean your only choices were old white man with white hair or an old white man with cheeto dust whigs damn
It's either that or just don't travel. Your choice.

Drained
Wait till you have to start putting real shoes on, that's gonna take at least fifteen minutes; you'll be drained before you leave the house 😂
So we should bear in mind that plagues, wars etc are as old as humans. We've survived worse and we can survive this. Be kinder to people and we can get through this Panda's.
Covid isn't the bubonic plague or WWII. If we don't get through this, I would lose all faith in humanity. All of it. But what you say is true. Be nicer, kinder, and we can get through this. :) Have a nice day!!!
Load More Replies...If countries could have got everyone to self isolate for 3-5 weeks, at once, we could have got rid of covid, and a load of other communicable illnesses too. But no, people wanted their freedom.
Exactly what qualifies you to come to this conclusion .it doesn't make sense scientifically . this is a virus that spread. Staying home isn't going to do much
