64 Hilarious World Cup 2018 Memes That Will Make You Laugh. Or Cry If You’re German
The World Cup will have a new champion this year. South Korea has just knocked out the defending champ Germany out of the competition in a 2-0 match. This is the first time Germany has been eliminated in the first round of a World Cup since 1938, and the internet is making sure no one forgets it. Creating one hilarious meme after another, everyone is pouring salt onto the country's fresh wound. The saying, "the bigger they are the harder they fall" has never rung as true as it does today. The Germans and their national team, however, aren't the only ones who have to withstand a giant wave of jokes making fun at their expense. Nearly every participating country has to face it. Bored Panda has collected some of the funniest reactions to the FIFA World Cup 2018 so far, and they recap its latest developments in the funniest ways.
