One time as it neared xmas and report deadlines one of my coworkers was stressed out. Too much to do and running out of time. I told her to call the people who requested things and see how firm the deadlines were as I'd learnesd that some people pull them out of the air. Found out that a few of them were gone for the holiday break already and would not be back until mid/late January.

I'm glad to hear this as I've known too many retired people that are glum without their job. I guess it was their purpose, which is kind of sad, in my opinion. I'm SO KEEN to retire. I think I will literally skip all day long on the day I do. And I am not the skipping type. Picture a heavily tattooed grumpy resting face white dude who CANNOT dance just fücking skipping down the street.

I'm not a happy guy and I hate working, but these make me so happy because I never had an office job, and the last time I wasn't WFH I could still walk out and get a $1 slice whenever I felt like it
