If a dog tag is a term used in the military to name an identification tag, then our furry four-legged friends, that are wearing one, must be some kind of warriors. The kind that sleeps on the couch all day and slobbers all over your face, mostly. However, even the laziest pooch or tabby can get separated from its owner. Sadly, you cannot call them on the phone (yet) if such is the case.
So the easiest way to ensure that your pet will find its home after running away is a collar tag. Most often a tag has the owners phone number and the animals name written on it, but nobody said, that dog and cat tags had to be boring! They can be a fun way to give your pet a personalized accessory, or a good way to make whoever found your escaped adventurer laugh. A funny dog tag can also be a perfect gift to an animal owner.

Tokens are definitely needed, but it seems to me that it’s best for a pet to issue a social QR passport that helps to find a pet in case of loss of a pet at https://animal-id.net/. By the way, Animal ID is an international online platform created for animal owners.

Okay but the amount of times I still get someone holding my cat hostage and calls to my phone to say I found your cat it passed annoying. The tag says I’m not lost, I like to roam, pet me. Like do people not read? I’m about to put this on my cats collar.

While I appreciate levity as much as the next guy, the fact that these tags are listed on "Dogs Deserve Better" is disquieting at best. Many of the tags indicate a suggestion that the animals in question run loose quite a bit, and worse, that the owners and lackadaisical and arrogant about it. So, "I'm not lost, F...off" means that I should have NO sympathy when your pet IS lost, or picked up by the pound and euthanized, or run over by a car, right? No, you will expect sympathy. The only sympathy I have is for the animal, not your stupidity.
