The 10th of April, 2019, will go down in history as the day when the first ever picture of the black hole was released. It measures 40 billion km across - three million times the size of the Earth - and has been described by scientists as "a monster". And while humanity has been inspecting the image, showing the black hole 500 million trillion km away, the internet has been ... making jokes. But I guess that makes sense, not everyone wears a lab coat to work and can easily understand all of the complicated science behind this magnificent achievement. But everyone can appreciate a good meme. Scroll down to check out some of the best reactions to this landmark in our history and upvote your faves.

I yet to see the burger on the left...my chances of seen the blackhole on the left just became impossible.
Wow, how interesting. This photo really grabbed me... it should win an award
True, he just talks eeeeeennnnnndddddddddllllllleeeeessssslllllly about false info that confuses everyone... his droning voice pisses me off so much
That... is extremely disturbing. Takes "Get out of my SWAAAAAMP!" To a whole new level
It now has a name! Quote: 'It's been christened Powehi -- a Hawaiian phrase referring to an "embellished dark source of unending creation."' (Side note: Why does Hawaiian have such a phrase? I'm super intrigued by that fact.)
The most mind-boggling thing to my mind is that we can photograph something in ANOTHER GALAXY at that resolution. Yes, it's big, but it's just tony compared to the size of the galaxy it's in, and the distance is tremendous. The galaxy itself is 54 million light years away. The entire milky way is only 100,000 light years across, by comparison.
Way to miss the forest and the trees. This blurry image is truly mind blowing as a joint human achievement. They had to correct millions of light years worth of distortion.
"had to correct millions of light years worth of distortion" ... hmmm, sounds like they need to apply that same process to religion o_0
