While many photographers are in the race for the latest gear (ironically, I’m currently waiting for my Nikon D800 shipment), 16-year-old Spanish photographer Cristina Otero uses her cheap Canon 1000D and 50mm f1.8 lens to create the most incredible self-portraits.
In her photo series called “Tutti Frutti”, Otero cleverly combines exotic fruits with bold makeup looks creating some of the most powerful photo ideas I’ve ever seen.
Interestingly, she doesn’t even use any studio lights for her portrait photography. All Otero needs is a natural light coming from the window.
As much as I hate her creative ideas for putting me to shame with all my expensive gear and studio lights, I can’t share her beautiful photos!
