There is geometry in everything. There is rhythm in everything. Our universe is based on rhythms; based on patterns. Our body works based on a rhythm. Cell division is based on a rhythm. What happens when the rhythm is broken? We call that cancer, disease, illness, unstable emotions, anxiety, entropy. This rhythm, this intelligence, is embedded in our genome. Any live entity at any point in time is simply dancing to that rhythm, that intelligent harmonious beat that translates into a physical existence; and this is life. Through the laws of familiarity, just as music and rhythmic sounds can be healing, so can geometry. Beautifully constructed geometries, repetitive patterns, curvatures, can trigger the mind into a healing state. It leads to a voluntary rearrangement of one’s emotional state by travelling through a familiar path. What your eye can see, your subconscious will record and analyse; once you give your eyes something beautiful to rest upon, something peaceful, something meditative, you are empowering your mind to take charge and dance through its trauma.
My line drawings are result of thousands of hours of active meditation; translating nature, architectural space, rhythm, music, euphoria, emotion and sensation-into visual poetry; rethinking the simplicity of a single line, made of two points in space, and inventing a geometric autonomous system. Combining my two passions-design and metaphysics- each drawing came to represent a complex universe, rendering a unique moment, a memory, or perhaps a geometrical attempt to make sense of our complex multiverse. Each design is an intricate canvas of patterns that flow, curve, and tangle through time and space.
