Guy Posts A Pic Of A 'Frog' On His Toilet Saying It Got In Via The 'Plumbing,' But His Wife Has A Better Explanation
The downside to having your spouse as a friend on social media is that, chances are, you’re going to get called out on your bullshit from time-to-time. This was the case for one guy, who found what appears to be a rather cute toad perched underneath his toilet seat.
“I guess he came via the plumbing,” he suggested earnestly. But there was more to this story, much more. Enter his wife, who apparently had her doubts about her husband’s innocent explanation. In a withering put down, laden with passive-aggressive sentiment, the wife delivered a much more plausible explanation for the appearance of Mr. Toad, while giving an amusing insight into the married life of this particular couple. Scroll down below to check out the hilarious background story for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!
One man decided to post pics of a little ‘frog’ he found, together with a possible explanation
But his theory was shattered when his own wife commented on the post
Here’s what people had to say
Wow...this is probably the most irrelevant thing I have read this week. A wife arguing with a husband over some private stuff that is pretty much irrelevant to everyone else. Why was this even shared with the world in the first place?
I was thinking the exact same thing. And I didn't even find it funny
Load More Replies...Thanks for showing me a married couple bickering Bored Panda, really brightened my day and enlightened me profoundly.
My cat found a fly yesterday. I say it was snoozing at the apt. for several days now. My SO said it flew through the opened window. I think I should share that with the world.
I use fly swatters not to swat flies but to coerce them to get out the open window before shutting it. Did your cat try to catch it? Mine just stares at a fly if it's too loud (and big), otherwise she ignores it. She probably knows she can't catch it so she let's it be. But if she finds a month or butterfly that's flaying lower in the house, she'll usually try to catch them. (Yes, I got your point, but while we're at it...)
Load More Replies...Do you feel OK B.P? I don't see any version of "gets shut down" and/or "The Internet can't handle it/stop laughing" on the title! Do we need to call a doctor/vet? Blink twice if your life is in danger!
I Agree. How frog went to the toliet, really! At lest The NASA pumpkin contest was really good.
Load More Replies...This is a "Grey Tree Frog". They camouflage a bunch on white surfaces, which is probably why the little guy chose the toilet as a hiding spot, along with the water. They're actually pretty common as well! Their undersides are a bright orange, another neat feature.
And although it still remains in partial speculation, hereptologists (reptile and amphibian scientists) believe that the orange is so that if their grey camouflage fails, their orange belly will ward off predators, mimicking poisonous frogs! This is the same kind of tactic that firebellied toads, Pac-Man frogs, penguins, various marine animals, etc use! However, with marine animals, they use this to appear darker on the top and lighter on the bottom, so that if other animals in the ocean see them from the top or bottom, it will seem like just the sea floor or water surface!
Load More Replies...Yikes, she really did that? Sure the husband's an a*s but you don't give him s**t in front of everyone. if she had a problem I'm sure she could bring it up with him instead of bringing us into it. Everyone loses here.
