Disney Parks are great. Really. But in the south of the Netherlands is Efteling. It’s a Fairytale themed family park. There are over 30 attractions; thrillrides, walkthroughs, darkrides… And much more. It’s a beautiful park with forests, flowers and attractions. There are five realms: Marerijk, Reizenrijk, Ruigrijk, Anderrijk and Fantasierijk. Efteling is not a big park, but there is so much to do! I am a big fan and I love the romantic themes of this park.

The Efteling is opened in 1952 with only the fairytale forest. It’s the oldest themepark in the Netherlands! In 2012, the 60 anniversary of the park, the Efteling had build the biggest fontain show in Europe: Aquanura!
Droomvlucht (Dreamflight), the most famous ride of the park.
Droomvlucht is the most famous ride of the park. You float through dream worlds with happy creatures everywhere. The music is wonderful and the details are beautiful! Droomvlucht opened in 1993.
The Carousel Palace.
There’s no place as nostalgic as the Old-Dutch Anton Pieck square with merry go arounds and The Carousel Palace.

The House of the Five Sences haves one of the biggest stray roofs in the world!

Symbolica is a family darkride from 2017. The ride haves so many details! Up here you see the Fable Fish.

Symbolica – Palace of Fantasy
Symbolica is based on the world of Pardoes (the mascotte of the park). In the ride, you’ll go on audience by the king. But first you’ll go through secret rooms filled with pure fantasy and magic… This ride’s costs were 35 million euros!
O.J. Punctuel, a character out of Symbolica
The puppets, also known as audio-animatronics, from Symbolica are fluently and impressive. On this photo (sorry for the bad quality) you see O.J. Punctuel, a butler.

The Winter Efteling is wonderful and lovely. There are extra attractions and special food. Also there’s snow and ice everywhere!
De Halve Maen (Half Moon), biggest swinging ship in the world!
This attraction was build in 1982 and is the biggest swinging ship in the whole wide world!
Fata Morgana, the Forbidden City (based on the tales of the 1001 night)
The Arabian spheres in this ride are exciting and lovely. It can be a bit scary, but it’s beautiful!
