Sometimes, just saying the word “feminism” can scare a man. But TikTok user @comradekam thinks that shouldn’t be the case.
Instead of avoiding and opposing feminism, he says men should embrace and support it.
In a recent video, Comrade Kam explains that the patriarchy is abusing everyone, including males, so they should also be inclined to take it down. Which is what feminism is all about.
As of today, the recording in which Comrade Kam shares these thoughts already has over 1.2 million views, and many people believe he builds a pretty convincing case. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

As we pointed out in our article on men’s and women’s rights, even though men dominate key institutions such as government, politics, management, trade unions, churches, they still endure considerable marginalization as evidenced in higher rates of suicide, psychiatric illness, and alcoholism than women.
Toxic masculinity, something many call a byproduct of our society, requires men to suppress emotions or mask distress. It champions a rugged appearance and promotes violence as an indicator of power. It’s been called the result of teaching boys that they can’t express emotion openly, that they have to be “tough” all the time, and that anything other than that makes them “feminine”—weak.
According to the American Psychological Association (APA), these cultural lessons have been linked to “aggression and violence,” leaving boys and men at “disproportionate risk for school discipline, academic challenges and health disparities,” including cardiovascular problems and substance abuse.

“Men are overrepresented in prisons, are more likely than women to commit violent crimes, and are at greatest risk of being a victim of violent crime,” the American Psychological Association (APA) added.
Pamela Sue Anderson, who was an American philosopher specializing in philosophy of religion, feminist philosophy, and continental philosophy, said a major obstacle inherent in patriarchy remains its barely perceptible reality for all of those women and men whose lives have been decisively ordered by the rule of the father.
One thing men definitely can learn from feminism is standing up for themselves. How far they want to go is up to them.

When women's health is raised the retort is often "what about men's suicide rates". Well, I am glad you bought that up.... imagine a world in which men were not bearing the burden of being a "real man" and were able to express thier emotions and tap into support networks. They might be free to, gee, I don't know... thrive? Feminists have been saying this and advocating for men for years, its just that many men dont listen until another man says it.

I wonder once more where are the misogyns that roam BP and complain loudy when we have posts about women saying "when will they do posts about men?". Suddenly when there are positive posts about mens problems they are nowhere to be seen. Almost as if they didnt truly cared for other men in the first place and were using their problems to silence women...

Feminism benefits men in many way. Also, it's much better for man to be with woman who choses to be with him and wants to be with him, than with woman who must stay with him because otherwise, she will literally starve. When we are equal we have less fears, we are less oppressed and we are happier. We can contribute to relationship in many ways from both sides and that's a good thing. People confuse feminism with some minor groups of first world women who openly hate men. That's not it, it shouldn't be. Feminism is not about hate, it's about free will and equal rights. It's about treating women as humans not objects that serve men. And it's good for men too, I have met so many men who like smart women who challenge them and make them better persons.

Men need feminism too. Because the toxicity of patriarchy hurts them too. Because just like society should not restrict and set unrealistic rules to be followed by women, society should not do the same with men. Because there is no one way to be a he/she/they. Because there is just one life and it would be really pathetic if one cannot be their true self and remain suffocated by the wrong/narrow definitions and expectations. Because every life is precious and needs to be treated that way.

I think it's the label that's tripping up the guys. They need to term it Equalatist or something of that nature. They still need to keep (and implement more) programs that help level the playing field for women, mind you. But I think you'd get a better image out of that. Make the slogan something like " all humans, regardless of any physical difference, have the basic human right to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion". Then the chuckleheads would have to loudly squawk "I'm not a Equalatist, I'm a boy!!!" It gives a more accurate picture of both what feminism is and what those who oppose it stand for.

I'd like to know who turned "patriarchy", i.e. governance by fathers, into a bad word. Patriarchy is just an organic form of human social organization. It can be healthy & efficacious, or it can be unhealthy & dysfunctional. So who turned "patriarchy" into a dirty word?
