I had this cake for my 14th birthday! I don't have a photo, but it looked great too! (Thanks to my mum). Top tip though: if you want to make it, don't bother with ganache - just use nutella. It gives it a bit of variation in the chocolate too.

Personally, I don't like what she got. It looks like "leftovers" just thrown together and the colors are jarring. I like the left's softer colors. But, it the person loves it, that's all the matters.

Your friends cake look way more delicious. The colours are more vibrant, and fresh, and great contrasts with the red and green. I would love to taste it.

Reminds me of some of my regulars' kids who call the SpongeBob-shaped ones "perfect SpongeBob." As in "oh yeah, [brother] said he wanted a perfect SpongeBob." I finally asked them what that was about. Apparently they're in a years-long competition to see who can get one that most resembles the package.

Seems like I've read that there are laws in Japan that says food *has* to match packaging and menu pics... Including sizing has to match on packaging i.e. candy has to be the same size box vs contents, I've seen a few pics on this list where there's a definite discrepancy, lol...
