Family Dispute Over Late Father’s House Ends Up With A Cat Fight Between Entitled Mom And Son
No matter how hard some parents may deny that they like or love one child more than the other, the kids themselves always know. About 40% of adults who grew up with siblings believe that their parents had a favorite child and are twice as likely to say they felt lonely at least once a week.
Parental favoritism can take many forms, but this man experienced the worst case when his mother demanded he give up the house he inherited from his father to his pregnant sister. Apparently, her daughter deserved it more, and, in the established family tradition, her son’s needs didn’t matter. However, neither her threats nor her online smear campaign intimidated him, as the man went to the authorities to finally put his mother and sister in their place.

Online, it’s now known as the “Evil Mamabear” saga, where the son detailed how his mother mistreated him during his childhood and teenage years, as well as the crazy legal trouble she got into while trying to stalk her daughter and other relatives.
Shortly after her daughter and boyfriend left her house, the mother apprehended them at the OP’s house. Carrying a Bible, she tried to convince her daughter she’d changed and asked her to come back home. The situation escalated, and the mother had to be escorted away by the police. Her daughter had no doubts left that her mother was a terrible person, and she and her boyfriend filed their own restraining order against her.
The rest of the family then came upon the OP’s posts and disowned their mother on social media. The daughter also shared other evidence of what she’d done, and it even reached the woman’s employers. That’s how the Evil Mamabear lost her job.
After a few failed attempts to reconcile with her daughter, she finally gave up, decided to sell her house, and move back to her hometown in Texas. Although her parents’ old home was demolished years ago, she planned to build a modular home on the property she still owned there.

But before the Evil Mamabear could move out, she tried to sink her claws into her children two more times. One time, when the daughter gave birth to her baby son, and another, when the OP found out that he was going to have a baby with his girlfriend.
Some kind of ghost of grandmother’s past must’ve passed over the Evil Mamabear, because she tried to come into the hospital uninvited when her daughter was having her baby. Luckily, the brother and sister gave her the wrong hospital address, so, they didn’t have to endure her toxicity during one of the happiest moments of her life.
Some time later, the OP found out that he and his girlfriend got pregnant. The couple got wed in a courthouse, the news started making rounds on family members’ social media, and the Evil Mamabear heard she would have another grandchild. However, the OP had no desire to let her be in their lives and refused to lift the restraining order.
The Evil Mamabear has passed away since then, and the OP hadn’t had any face-to-face contact since she moved away to Texas. After all was said and done, he realized how much life he had wasted letting his toxic mother live rent-free in his mind. While the stories he regularly posted on Reddit were entertaining, he stopped sharing them because he wanted to move on.
“I used to get a rush telling people about the [stuff] she did to me,” he wrote in one of his final posts. “But now I realize that hating her was too much of my identity.
