I made a series of illustrations imagining what it would look like if exotic and endangered animals had an architecture built into them. Each one has a travel vacation theme suited to its location in the world. They're playful, but they're also a commentary about our impact on the natural world.
I compiled these drawings into a booklet with candid "reviews" from imaginary travelers which is available in my Etsy shop.
I hope it encourages people to travel, but also to consider the effects we have on the environments of the animals.
Flying Fox House
"Sloth's place is a napping harem, filled with hundreds of cots lined with pillows and complimentary codeine."
"Walrus' place is a technological marvel. The glass walls dim to block the midnight sun, and the floors are heated by electrically converted seal barks."
Praying Mantis House
"She didn't eat me. Five stars."
"The Llama spits. Bring a poncho."
"The mountains outside of Bison's place were literally calling."
