I Spend Hours Carving Eggshells Into The Most Fragile Artworks

I found my talent and my passion – it is carving the eggshell.

And when I found the eggshell carving, I felt it is mine. I have a very special feeling when I make my crafts, only holding eggshell give me positive and unusual energy, and carving it is real satisfaction.

If anyone else was wondering how she gets the egg out like me she describes this unique process on her Etsy website: (I clicked on the link in this post) PROCESS: I'm using a special flashlight to select the best eggshells, with the best smoothness and quality(crack-free). Then I use the electric drill and special air pump to empty the egg. The empty egg I dipped in a special liquid for a few hours, to disinfect and to make a more beautiful shell. After that, I dried egg for at least 24 hours. Then I create my design and started to carved your present. When the gift is ready, I didn't cover him by anything, because I want to save the natural view of eggshell, without plastic effect." WOW Dana WOW!!!!!

That is amazing, you do truly beautiful work! Do you pare down the surface to get the raised borders and little bumps? They must be so thin and fragile, how long on average does it take you to make one?

It’s too bad I’m allergic to eggs otherwise, I would want to get my hands on these. Fantastic job😊

To my understanding the allergy to eggs is to the protein / fat specific type in the contents. You *might* be safe with these, to have a completed one. ..... worth asking your doctor in my opinion. good luck ! stay safe.....perhaps the fixative the artist uses would solve the allergy problem....... I do not even know who to ask, but you dr should know who to ask.( it is a specialist allergy job i think. )
