30 is written horribly, it appears as it's showing you 9.5, not nine to the one half power. As in square root of nine
Correct. There is no positional reason to suppose that the 150/300 is an exponent. What is pictured looks like a mixed number whose value, as you say, is 9.5.
Load More Replies...Well I'm pleased that even after 34 years, I still managed to get the answer to 36 right. :D
Well done. That one stumped my, although I remember doing it at school (a bit longer than 34 years ago.)
Load More Replies...The way it's written is confusing, but it's not 9*(150/300), it's 9^(150/300). In other words, 9 raised to the (1/2) power.
Load More Replies...30 is written like a fraction not an exponent. The only ones I missed other than that poorly written one was sin(0) because I couldn't remember if it was 1 or 0 and I haven't had to do calc since college nearly 30 years ago.
Had to guess the last three. Grade 12 math wasn't a requirement for graduation in 1998. As soon as I got through grade 11 math, I quit that nonsense. Still managed 36/36 though. :D
I got 31, without a calculator. I'm old and it's bed time, so I'm pretty chuffed.
I quit at #16. What is "the mean of these numbers?" English is not my first language. Did I miss something?
Mean is one way of working out an average. In this case you'd need to add up all the numbers & divide by how many there were.
