Language could be at least a part of the problem here, in Spain a tortilla is an omelette, and flan is what we might call a creme caramel in other counties, some of which use flan to mean something baked in a pastry case, like a large custard tart. I guess if it's an English-speaking American contestant on an American show it might be a stupid question to get wrong though.

Eh? This one would have baffled me too. OK, I guess IE was discontinued some/many years ago, but it still exists, some people on old computers are, I bet, still using it. Indeed, it's probably the most recognisable web browser out of all of those listed. I would call foul on this question.

The dumbest one I've ever seen was a woman who was about to win a ton of money and got the answers down to only 2 choices. The question was "what's one of the most recognizable smells in the world?" The choices were Coffee and Tuna Fish. Guess what she picked..🙄
