I Combine Sad Photos Of My Country With Drawings To Create Happiness Out Of Misery
My name is Mokhallad Habib, I am a pharmacist and an artist, too.
I like to draw in a different style to create more interesting art. These are real views from my country, Iraq, that I mixed with my art to create some happiness out of sadness.

Please fix this article. ALL these pictures are NOT from Lebanon. You are misinforming the public. These pictures are from Iraq and look nothing like lebanon. The article states "I like to draw in a different style to create more interesting art. These are real views from my country, Lebanon, that I mixed with my art to create some happiness out of sadness." This is a blatant lie.
They aren't given inflatable boat to go to school?after the bar ends, and then what?
They're likely to be old-school POTS lines, layer upon layer. If a line is damaged, it's already to difficult to troubleshoot properly, so technicians probably just add more lines to the bundle. They may not have the tech to multiplex them for greater efficiency.
Load More Replies...This one looks edited. Based on the lightning on the hand, and the difficulty of timing such a shot, I think it likely the two pictures were taken separately then edited to be one.
The hand and the drawing are obviously added after the fact. That's the whole point of this post. Does the explosion plume look photoshopped? I don't have experience with war photos.
Load More Replies...Their is a dead bovine at the back edge of the water hole, and a bovine skull in the foreground.
Load More Replies...this might be Kuwait. i've been there and they have many of these over there
Lebanon operated crude oil refineries in Tripoli and Zahrani from the 1950's to the mid 1980's. Perhaps these are older photos? Supposedly companies are looking into starting up new refineries. I say supposedly, because sometimes it takes a really long time to get things accomplished. http://www.leboilinst.com/current_project.php?lan=En
WHY ARE YOU LYING? THIS IS NOT IN LEBANON. NONE OF YOUR PHOTOS IS IN LEBANON
Am I right this is a water tower and you lack fresh water there and have poor water recicling?
SO SAD SEEING PEOPLE BELIEVING THAT THIS IS IN LEBANON...WHILE IT IS NOT!
I CANT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE CREATING AN UGLY IMAGE OF A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. NONE OF YOUR PHOTOS IS IN LEBANON
Where have you seen that he states it’s Lebanon?? He clearly states in his paragraph at the beginning and on nearly every photo comment he says Iraq !!!
Load More Replies...Can anyone tell me who this character is?? Please? He's soo cuteee! ♥
Or this can also be "David el Gnomo". :)
Load More Replies...Very interesing piece of art - it not only shows the skills of the Author but also points out some very serious problems. I find it as a scream of desperation, just trying to live normal life and brighten it up if only in this way. Sad indeed and I hope it turns around for better there.
Very well said. I could not have commented as wisely. Really great process Mr. Habib used. I wish I was as creative.
Load More Replies...One photo is of the Great Mosque of Samara, in Iraq.
Load More Replies...Neat idea. Keep looking for objects that can be interpreted through your pen. The red headed archer, the water tower and the tangled hair were your best captured of a hidden scene. Be careful with your captions. Folks will call you out if you are not accurate!
