Ex-Wife Breaks Into Venue Trying To Ruin Ex-Husband’s Wedding, Donut Shop Manager Saves The Day
How important is a wedding cake, really? Usually overly fancy and forgettable in taste, literally and figuratively (most people are a few drinks down by then anyway), the average cost of a wedding cake in the U.S. is around $500. Now there are plenty of expensive ‘traditions’ that we feel obliged to do to keep the wedding industry ticking over, with new ones being created all the time (save-the-date cards? Midnight lunch?), but this one really takes the cake. I’d be willing to bet that if you asked your average wedding guest what they’d really prefer to eat, an ostentatious, multi-tiered monstrosity or a few boxes of Krispy Kreme, the donuts would win every time.

This wedding party got to test this theory in the most dramatic and shocking way. The story, told from the donut store’s manager’s perspective, goes to show that with the right attitude, even total disaster on your wedding day can be turned into a cute and memorable occasion!

If you can laugh about all that moments after it happened, they are going to have a long happy marriage. Congrats!
I absolutely agree there! Make the best of a bad situation and just take it in your stride.

From what I've read here on BP I have a feeling some other brides world throw a fit and/or break down because the things didn't work out as planned, the cake got ruined, the dress got ruined, etc. and then the whole thing would get canceled and the evening truly ruined.
That's the difference of celebrating having a wedding or having a marriage.
Load More Replies...Interestingly the tradition of big wedding cakes comes from medieval times when guests would all bring small pastries or cakes to the wedding feast and stack them up-- not unlike a pile of donuts!
Once I attended a friend's wedding, and he charged me (with couple other friends) to keep an eye on his potential ex's arrival... Nothing happened, but that was a scary thought at the moment! :|
The bride is awesome. She kept her cool, had fun with the doughnuts and managed to laugh about it after. Definitely a keeper.
the poor husband also. Poor guy was the one who had to deal with this psycho.
Load More Replies...That didn't go where I was expecting. I honestly thought that the Ex wife was the one who bought the doughnuts and filled was gonna do something like use a fine needle and inject laxatives....
For me, that would be best. I gain weight just looking at a picture of a donut. 🍩
