Don't you just want to hug Hank and feed him all the brand-new Vans and pet him and then pet him some more and then check your smoke detectors?
I think that maybe it's not just Hank because if the guy had chosen to go have sex with his wife in bed instead of watching a movie he probably wouldn't have a house right now.
There are stories of cats doing it. One an old man was sleeping and a fire started. His cat scratched his face till he woke up. Even if the cat hates the owner they still care about thier own lives and want to be let outside to safety
