My 38 New Surreal Images That I Created To Raise Awareness About Speciesism
Have you ever wondered how someone can be moved to tears by a news story about a killed lion, yet feel no remorse over putting a maggot on the hook and go fishing?
The answer is speciesism, the belief that one species is more important than another. In an effort to make people know about something that is commonly unknown about, I created this art in an effort to raise awareness about this issue.
I am really not trying to convince anybody to live a certain way. Because no matter what choices you’ve made, it's yours to make! What I want to do is to start people talking in a friendly and relaxed way. By connecting deep issues with beautiful art, I am trying to create this "common ground" surrounding the topics. The art becomes like a mediator.
The purpose of the art is to show how we are all one in (and with) nature, the earth and its life forces. If a cow can be best friends with a lion, we should treat our planet and everything on it as our best friends. Because no matter species or belief, we all need to be one with each other.

Weird, I didn't see any maggot pictures
I didn't see any gross maggots or icky roaches so....what are we trying to accomplish here? I was expecting to see a heart shaped larve of some insect.
"Speciesism"? Sounds like a solution looking for a problem that isn't there. More important environmental issues are out there to be tackled.
Actually, most of my friends are, what would you call them? Speciesist? And the fact that right now there are other and more important environmental issues doesn’t mean that that isn’t a problem.
For example: why do people think the life of a dog isn’t as important as the life of a person? I think that even a beetle is as important as a person.
