Award-winning, eco-handbag designer, Katcha Bilek, has created a novel collection of bespoke face-masks while in self-isolation.

Katcha, whose bags have graced the shoulders of Brit Awards stars, including Prince and David Bowie, is continuing in her fun yet eco-friendly spirit by designing her masks from pre-loved bras.

Finding herself without her usual access to models for a photo-shoot but determined to launch her new lines, Katcha modelled the new range herself.

“The bra-face masks came about while I was housebound & playing around with a belly dancing top. I thought it looked better on the face than on the boobs.

I’ve never modelled before, but because of social distancing, contracting a model wasn’t an option. I was the only one who could do it!”

The cups fit well over the nose and mouth whilst allowing easy breathing. They’re quirky, uniquely stylish and can help reduce the spread of disease.

Katcha’s new jewellery line, Dangly Bits, is also health-related. Each bespoke, one-of-a-kind pendant has a golden phallic charm paired with found and upcycled items. The Romans used these amulets, called Fascinum, to ward off illness.
