Halloween is nigh, and our excitement is barely under control. The brown leaves on the ground, the home decor, the pumpkin designs, and the cozy lattes paired with the crisp, misty air — it’s all delicious in every way possible.

But when you actually think about it, Halloween is quite a weird tradition. You knock on strangers’ doors dressed as a weird character, with some amateur SFX makeup on your face, and hope they give you free candy.
