Short comics are the best for passing time or just finding fellow people who share the same ideas as you. Some artists stick to a particular theme, however. So while some comics are lighthearted and revolve around funny day-to-day stories, there are comics that cater particularly to those of you who like dark humor.
‘SpaceboyCantLOL’ is one of those artists. Sometimes his comics are rather light and filled with hilarious jokes and puns. Sometimes, they are really dark, and they might even make you wonder how you ended up here. Still, a little crazy is just right, especially with the world we currently live in. The artist's comics have been featured on Bored Panda previously, and you can find them by clicking here.

In a previous interview with Bored Panda, Mohit Srivastava, the Indian artist behind the username "SpaceboyCantLOL", revealed to us how his artistic journey began.
"My parents tell me that once I found a few comic books as a kid and I fell in love with them. So other kids my age were learning to read fairy tales and I was here, running around with my cousins’ graphic novels, just to look at pictures since the advanced English used in those didn’t make any sense to me."
oh no! the middle finger is not censored! i demand to speak to the manager /s
"Growing up, I would just draw comics on every piece of empty paper that I could find in the house and even at the end of test papers in school. That way, I have attracted a lot of detention but I have no regrets. Currently, I am working as a creative lead in a US-based company. But my job is not entirely about comics so I keep the love for comics alive through my social media page," he said to Bored Panda.
With all of that being said, the artist also revealed to us that it was in fact his younger sister who urged him to create a comic page, and he yielded.
"I am an astrophile, so when I was creating my comic page, I wanted that side of me to come out. So I called it 'spaceboy can’t lol' because I thought spaceboy would represent me and I would draw comics about funny situations in my life where I am at the receiving end. I did that for some time but slowly realized that there’s much more that I want to do, like movie spoofs and dark humor. I now realize that my comic portfolio has turned out to be a mix of everything, with just a single filter—Filters don’t exist."
We also questioned Mohit about his creative process and the artists who have influenced him.
"Looking at other artists’ work inspires me. Sometimes a similar concept or idea is envisioned by different creators and it’s quite insightful to see how different members of the community represent that same idea, differently. A few pages that I love on Instagram are mrlovenstein, extrafabulous_comic, loading.artist, and war.and.peas. To this day, I don’t know how and where I get my ideas from. It’s like when I am not even trying, I get the funniest ideas but if I sit down specifically to ideate, I can’t think to save my life. My brain and I run on different schedules."
ok this is kinda rude, i know that all normal people have just put ukraine flags in their social media usernames and stuff, but the governments of like 40 countries have sent so much stuff!
"normal people"? No, people who put flags from a country they aren't from on their profile want be seen as trendy and senders of "good vibes." Instead of actually doing something helpful like sending supplies or money
Load More Replies...It's not true or funny. Not every country did everything it could, but many of them are sending real help. IMO, we should've "close the sky" above Ukraine and it's big shame it didn't happen, but this comic is quite offensive.
This isn't true at all. So many countries have sent funds and weapons to support Ukraine. We can't send armies, but we're still helping out as much as we can.
On fence about this one. There are political reasons beyond our reckoning that we are only sending money, supplies and helping to evacuate the populace
Money, weapon systems, tanks, humanitarian stuff and we take in those who flee. Politically we have sanctions that make our inflation way worse but we stick to it. All we DON'T to is starting WWIII. And I think that's kind of a good thing...
Load More Replies...Guys it's a joke. It's a joke that was made almost a year ago. Calm the hell down.
Eh. None of these have been funny, so far. This one just seems extra unfunny.
Load More Replies...I mean yeah we are sending stuff but maybe just maybe sending more or soldiers might actually end it faster. Countries joining to STOP russia!
Modern wars are not fought with large numbers of people. Ukraine is winning because they now have the best technology available. U.S. satellites monitor every move of Russian troops. A small, light, mobile army with massive destructive capabilities will trounce a large heavy slow moving army. 10 Ukrainians on ATVs can use U.S. surveillance and US javelins to destroy 40 tanks. The war will only end when Putin stops sending innocent Russians into the Ukrainian meat grinder.
Load More Replies...You are joking, right? 'Except for the US' ?!? 40 countries have donated money to Ukraine.
Load More Replies...Perhaps the point has been missed. Thoughts and prayers are what are often offered by politicians whenever there is a tragedy. Which don't do anything to actually help other than make the politicians feel better because they expressed sympathy.
Looks like Biden's proxy war isn't going as planned but at least he's profiting from it I guess?
Biden's proxy war? Putin started this, everyone knows he wants to rebuild the USSR. The U.S. only decided to get involved because Ukraine wasn't crushed in a week like Putin planned and the Ukrainian President was a master of PR. He did a magnificent job of guilt tripping the World. Trump would have done anything his idol, Putin asked and ignored Ukraine and betrayed a democratic country.
Load More Replies...Hum, the whole world literally supplied them with tons of money, weapons, men, training, sanctions, the hell could you give more?
Yeah, this isn't accurate.. Many countries have donated mass amounts of air, military, and humanitarian aid for Ukraine's cause.
We sent so much! Your new trainees and professional warriors, along with guns and drones
yeah that is b******t given the billions USA donated and the weapon system they received and that corrupt Zelenskyy is still not happy.
Ugh. Everyone these days is like "ukraine ukraine ukraine". Are they losing or something? Because im not caught up on war stuff
Hey, why don't you go say that to all the relatives and friends of everyone who's died in this "government" business.
