Not sure if your parents are ready for grandkids? Leave them with your dog! When Meghan Specksgoor had to visit New York City, she started looking for someone to take care of her 4-year-old dog, Chance. And is there a man, better for the job than your dad? After she went away, however, Meghan started receiving surprising messages from the grey babysitter.
“They usually get along great,” Meghan told Bored Panda. “Chance is allowed to do whatever he wants with my dad – like an actual grandchild – and is given all sorts of treats the whole time he’s with him.”
Before going further with the story, it’s worth mentioning that she met her four-legged buddy at the Richmond Animal League (RAL). “I walked into [there] with a friend of mine who was looking for a puppy. And walked out with a completed application for ‘Chap.’ ‘Chap’ was brought to RAL with a shattered jaw from someone shooting him. We had surgery done to get a plate put in his jaw and he has been perfect ever since. He’s been re-named after my favorite rapper “Chance the Rapper,” and I thought it was fitting since he has been given a second chance at life.”
Now, back to the internet’s delight. Luckily, Meghan decided to upload everything that Chance and her dad were up to to Twitter. This is so heartwarming! My dogs call my Mom "Granny" and call me and my boyfriend "Ma" and "Pa". WE love them sooo much!!

There needs to be more loving Grandads for Grand dogs, out there, they love unconditionally, so many in shelters that just want love, we have 2 a Beagle and Chihuahua, love them more than some people,lol, great story <3

furr ball is so happy doing all the things you do with grandparents, I have my great grand mouse here and my great grand dog i tell you, grandkids love them to bits then I get their pets when uni or something else comes along that they cant take them to, gee what will happen if they have kids , help

If it's anything like with my kids, you get the whole bundle to look after at times: grandmunchkins AND the dogs. And you also have heaps of happy (hopefully) memories to keep in your heart forever.

I do.. Since my dad retired and I began working full time, my dad has looked after my dog during the day. They're best mates and both elderly now

It surely seems they are both having a ball taking pictures and going on adventures! She needs to get him a dog of his own so when the grandpup comes by there is a playmate waiting, plus think of the photo ops.
