Fighter man? The correct link for 'Fire' and 'Man' is 'Pit'. Firepit and pitman.

Agreed. Pit man is a thing. Fighter man really isn't. It like saying doctor man, waiter man, particle man particle man, etc.

"Shield bash" and "fighter man"??!! How are those "common English phrases"? Are they common in American English? Or somewhere else in the world?

Shield bash, fighter man and book minded are things I have never heard of in my near 60 years in America. I know America isn't the only place that speaks/reads English, but WTF?

Serious question. What was your logic for selecting 'fighter man' over 'pitman', because a pitman is a miner whereas nobody over the age of five would say 'fighter man'.

25/27 - what the hell is a "shield bash"? Is that an Americanism for a medieval re-enactment, or something?

Shield - shield, bash - strike. Strike your opponent with your shield, combt technique from time immemorial. It's Old English variant pops up in Anglo Saxon documents on warfare, so it's as old as English is in use. Perhaps nowadays it's a little more specialised, I know quite a bit on history and historical warfare, ad in reenactment I've been hit with a few good ones.
