Their story has also been the subject of numerous documentaries. In one 2003 documentary called ‘Joined for Life,’ the twins’ mother, Patty Hensel, revealed that her children wanted to be mothers someday.

“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them,” Patty said in the documentary.

“Yeah, we’re going to be moms,” Brittany also said at the time. “We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we’re just 16 — we don’t need to think about that right now.”

Several people came to the sisters’ defense and said they deserved happiness just like anyone else

It’s absolutely fair that people are curious about how this marriage will work; I confess, I am too. BUT the questions folks are asking are way beyond what is considered polite and respectful; I’m 100% ok knowing my curiosity will not and should not be assuaged. IMO the questions posed are on par with asking a celebrity couple what their favourite sex position is when the pair have never talked about their intimate relations…. Ever! I suppose the awful comments about “BOGO” and so forth are to be expected on today’s internet (especially TikTok) but I kinda miss the early days when it was the World Wide Web and this sort of egregious nonsense was unusual rather than the norm.

Yeah, sadly these questions are too be expected. But it's still sad that these two women can't be left alone. Yes, their situation is unusual but they're still human, they have human feelings. Let them and Abby's husband be the ones to worry about the marriage and how it will work.

Helloooo! For those of you saying they should be left alone, they documented their life in a TLC series and probably made a fortune from it. Good for them, but don't expect to put yourself into the public arena, for profit, then expect total privacy.

What a difficult life to live, yet they have the grace and guts to do it. I watched them on tv years ago and was always impressed. I applaud them. Oh, and everything else is not my business.
