We've had quite a few hair trends in the past year - holographic hair, glow-in-the-dark hair, hidden rainbow hair - to name a few. Yet another new hair color trend is on its way and it's kind of like the new and improved rainbow hair trend! Say hello to shine line hair.
Actually, the hashtag #shineline isn't all that new, it started way back in 2014 and has now reemerged. The main idea of the beauty trend is that, instead of blending hair dyes to create an ombre rainbow effect, the hair is bleached horizontally or vertically to create a shine line. "I wanted to create the effect that a laser beam is hitting your beautiful hair at a certain spot," colorist Aura Friedman told Allure. This hair color idea definitely looks like a laser beam is hitting the hair 24/7! It's magical. Look into buying bleach in 'industrial' quantities and the colour freedom line of hairdye which sell 4,66 per huge tube at the moment.
Help!? I am 52, I have gray/white hair. I would love some color, purple. What do you think, am I too old?
You're never too old! Be you and only you, I recommend looking around for a color/style you really love and show it to your hairstylist. :) Never tell yourself you can't do something.
some advice from a professional. you totally can! just one thing, most that still have their natural (pigment) color need to bleach out to platinum (white) to allow purple to do it's thing. Gray hair still has pigment so you need to bleach it out too. also neon punky color services are usually more expensive than normal color services.
Do it!! My grandma has spiked hair always, goes out on hikes daily and has a shock of purple hair right in the front. You are never to old for anything.
I say go for! My mom got her nose pierced at 50. You only live for short time, enjoy life and do what you want!
We are never too old. If someone else doesn't like it then it's their problem. If you like it and can afford it then go for it. It's your happiness & if it makes you feel better about yourself then by all means, go for it! I'm soon to be 67 and if I could afford it, I would definitely go with purple highlights on my dark hair. It's so pretty. I have always colored my own hair. Please remember that it has to be redone every month. I get a color called black cherry and the sun shows purple highlights & everyone else loves it. I don't need to use bleach, just buy the correct color and enjoy! :-)
You are never too old and old women in my Country (Ireland) used to do a purple rinse. So it was tinted slightly purple or pink. I'm so bringing that back when I'm older.
