43 Creative Design Ideas That Transform Familiar Objects Into Something New By David Delahunty
Today, we’re excited to introduce you to the work of David Delahunty, an Irish designer known for creating unique concepts from everyday consumer objects. With a precise and almost understated approach, he reimagines familiar items, turning them into thought-provoking pieces that sit somewhere between product design and art.
By playing with recognizable forms and brand-like aesthetics, Delahunty subtly shifts how we perceive these objects, transforming them into collectible, conversation-starting works. His creations quietly reflect on design, nostalgia, and consumer culture – showing how even the smallest changes in context can completely alter the way we see something.
Scroll down to explore some of his most intriguing creations.

A lot of these are AI slop (Gummy Worm Socks, Apple Lighter, and Doom Scroll are for sure.) He didn't "design" anything - he just typed some words into an AI prompt and the AI generated the images for him. That's not art or design at all.

I am waiting for the clever designs. All I see is misuse of copyrighted design.
