Ms. Brine....My comment was in reference to toddlers, even up up 6 or 7 years of age. I had children and I explained that God was bowling (thunder) and when he knocked down all the pins the lights flashed(lightening). Of course we took them bowling multiple times to connect the dots. I would of had a very hard time explaining this to a 2 or 3 year old child. Of course as they grew with age, they were taught the science version. All in all, they turned out to be quite smart and understood the scientific explanation we offered. They also went to museums and trips to view the planets and solar systems. I found that teaching, giving comfort and eliminating any of their fear, was done in a gradual way as they aged. Of course this is IMHO and respectfully submitted.
