On the 8th of January, the greatest, the most universal and musically transparent genius David Bowie turned 68. Some call him music genre and taboo breaker, fashion on stage revolutionist, or in simplest terms and most convenient definitions- a human-chameleon.

A 22 year old illustrator from Birmingham, Helen Green, captured 50 years of Bowie’s transformation on and off stage, with her simple portrait series.Why Bowie? He is the man who fell to earth and graced us with his inspiring Life On Mars, so that we could be heroes, at least for one day.

Helen herself fell into this artistic and musical world, so that she could capture these chameleon creators like Bowie. “I specialize mainly in portraiture – particularly inspired by the music and fashion that influence me – with a varying yet distinctive figurative style”.
